Kanica

Kanica is a small tourist town situated in the eponymous cove not far from Rogoznica. The place is ideal for a quiet vacation because the first groceries store is 3km away ( In Dvornice), but an everyday bread and fruit delivery by van is organized during the season. Kanica and its surroundings have numerous activities to offer to its guests who are in search of a more active vacation: diving, surfing, fishing, water skiing, volleyball, handball, soccer, tennis and table tennis. The beaches are rocky with paved bathing places in front of the houses, as well as the berths for boats. The sea is especially clean, given the fact that the most prominent coastal point with strong currents is nearby – cape Ploce. Rogoznica, a town and a port is only a few miles away, located in the eponymous cove. The town itself is located on a peninsula which divides the cove on its eastern and western part. The beaches in Rogoznica are pebbly, rocky and concrete, the most famous of which are : “Art” beach, “Crljina” beach”, “Miline” beach, “Kopara” beach, “Sepurine” beach and “Zecevarska” beach. Numerous festivities are organized during summer in Rogoznica and its surroundings, which attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists who can enjoy countless dalmatian specialties ( fish, prosciutto, cheese, shells, anchovies, shrimps, lobster).You do not have to wait for the festivities to savor all of these specialties, as well as numerous other, we recommend you visit restaurant “Ancora”, restaurant “Atrium”, restaurant “Lanterna”, buffet “Antonio”, buffet “ Naprid Bili” and the buffet “Starac”. See the cultural monuments of this area, as well, most prominently St. Nikola church and Blessed Ivan of Trogir church. Visit Primosten, Vinisce, Marina, Trogir and Split – the surrounding towns, where you can see cultural monuments, enjoy beautiful coves, restaurants, taverns, nightclubs and discotheque.
