On the island can be reached by direct ferry from Split to Stari Grad and from Drvenik to Sucuraj Sucuraj distance to the Old Town is 60 km .
Also on the island can be reached by catamaran from Split to Hvar town ( distance to the Old Town ~ 20 km ) and Jelsa ( distance to the Old Town ~ 10km) .
During the summer months, the island of Hvar drives coastal line Rijeka - Dubrovnik , which fits into the ferry port Stari Grad .
If you wish to travel by bus or train , there are regular flights from all major cities and towns of Split. Bus and train station in Split is located right across from the ferry pier , from where you can take a ferry to Stari Grad or catamaran to Hvar or Jelsa. Another option is to take a bus to Drvenik , where you can take a ferry to Sucuraj on the island.
If you are traveling by plane , the nearest airports are in Split and Dubrovnik , where you can take bus or other transportation means to continue the journey to Split or parish.
